What did I just play and why is it so good? :D I love that you gave planes the ability to just hover until the content is resolved, it gives a little extra absurd humor to this endearing game. Sound design is just wonderful, music fits the game perfectly and MS-Paint-esque graphics style is just my favorite!

Thanks for making such a cheerful game, it really made my day better!

Thank you so much, I'm glad you enjoyed the game 🙏

Yay, I did it, I did the thing! I thought this was so sweet, and it was nice having the interactivity of dealing with the conflicts. The sound effects, art, and UI are all incredible! Everything got lots of LOVE and attention here. It made me a fan of yours immediately 🙌

I had to go deal with our air purifier after it messed up and it took a while. When I came back there were soooooooooo many conflicts, omg!!!

Also dealing with the bird conflicts is especially wholesome omg lol poor birdies

Oh and I just realized after leaving this comment that there are no conflicts after upgrading everything! Yay, I actually really like that decision, now the city is just pure love 🧡

Thank you so much Beth! 😊

I like it a lot!!
It's like how Michael describe New York in the Office series: "Everybody hates each other but loves each other at the same time"

kewl :3

love that extra effect when you try to upgrade something that can't be upgraded XD

OMG I didn't even notice this til you said it, so I tried it, that's fantastic 🤣

Loved the sound effects. Fun game!

I love how they give each other a lil' kissy to resolve the conflict. Ok maybe it's not so little, that's a big-ass smackaroo. The sound effects and music/ambience combine wonderfully, and the art style is a good example of how minimalistic drawings can look great.

Try to press the upgrade buttons when you don't have enough money for some bonus sfx :)

EDIT: I went to make lunch and the screen was black with conflict bubbles when I got back, that was unexpected haha

Thank you for the detailed feedback! I'm glad you liked it 😄

Great little game and surprisingly well polished for a game made in 48hrs!
I played until the end and wanted more! Also the love/conflict sounds are hilarious

Thank you, I'm glad you also liked the sounds 😊

Merci beaucoup !

I'd like to see you make the sounds (by mouth as usual) on live ! I like the concept, it's the kind of game I can spend many hours.

Thank you Gaston! Yup, all the sounds are homemade 😊

So once you max everything out does anyone ever get mad?  Also, is there an actual end game or will it happy run until oblivion if you let it?

Hello! When you max out everything, the collisions are disabled. So the city lives its peaceful live FOREVER 😊 (I wanted to make an ending but ran out of time)

So I realized I forgot to actually comment about the game (that's what happens when it's late and you're tired!)  I love the aesthetic.  It reminds me of the old Saturday morning live action kids' shows where they'd doodle something on a drawing board or something and it would come to life.  Obviously the game play is quite simple, but the atmosphere is so compelling that it manages to suck you in until that last upgrade is complete.  Good job!

Ok finished the whole city, was kinda hoping for a celebrative surprise :-) But the lack of something happening feels peaceful ;-)

Sorry, I ran out of time to make a proper ending 🙏

No worries, I finished it, you kept my curiosity going ;-)
